Warning about fraud and mobile phone/electrical goods scams
Beware of classified ads, forum posts and websites claiming to be from Electronics Worldwide Limited offering iPhones, mobile phones and laptop computers for sale - We do NOT sell these items! If you have any doubts as to the legitimacy of an offer please feel free to contact us.
The way these scammers work is to pick existing company names suitable for the product being 'sold' and then pretend to be from that company to convince potential victims that their offer is valid. Effectively hijacking the legitimate companies credibility.
These scammers usually offer electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, iPhones, iPods, laptop/notebook computers, game consoles, plasma TVs, cameras, camcorders, MP3 players etc. Usually at "too good to be true" prices with payment via Western Union or Moneygram.
They use a variety of names, email addresses and unidentifiable 070 personal numbers which can be redirected to anywhere the fraudster wishes (see the list below for some recent examples).
Do not under any circumstances send any money to these scammers!
If you believe that you have become a victim of one of these scammers you should report it to your local Police.
